We had seen this site on the map and it looked ideal for Kayaking. We arrived and it seems that they mainly book "by the week" Saturday to Saturday. But someone had left a day early so we could get one night. It turns out that Pier Cottage is the base that Donald Campbell used to store and launch Bluebird II for his fatal attempt at the speed record.Photos
